Visiting Kat update

Hey everyone.  I just talked to Joyce.  A couple of new points about visiting Kat.

The family is asking (and this will be reinforced by the center) that visitors stay for no more than 30 minutes at a time.

Secondly, under no circumstances should any visitor wake Kat up.

Kat has extensive and rigorous therapy to complete.  She's working hard, and tired.  It's best for her, again reinforced and confirmed by the center, that she is given ample time to rest and recover between sessions.

It's also important to note that her family may wish to have time with her that is family time only.  This is part of the reason scheduling visits was requested.  Please continue to that practice.

Thanks for your continued support of Kat and her family.  Let's all work together to ensure she has the support she needs throughout her recovery.

More updates later.

  1. Thank you so much for all the updates. I was wondering if they know the reason she is not talking yet? Is it only because of the trach tube or is it due to something else?

  2. Thanks for continuing to post updates; I only met Kat at Fox Run and we became Facebook friends. I don't want to intrude on her recovery; at the same time, there are days where I have a panic that I must go check on my new-found friend's progress. Today was one of those days. Thank you! <3

  3. I don't know Kat, but I sure am praying for her. BM is a fantastic rehab, isn't it? So relieved she's there. You can do this Kat!

Kat's Story

Kat was injured in a motorcycle accident on September 12. She's been admitted into the iCU trauma unit at Christiana hospital in critical condition.

Kat is a wonderful woman. She is a devoted mom to her 14 year old son, Tyler. She has a wide array of interests, including motorcycles, tattoos, reggae music, hanging out with friends on the beach, fishing, hiking, being goofy with her friends and family, and taking killer selfies.

This page is dedicated to Kat, as she recovers from her injuries, and is a place for her friends and family to receive information on her progress.

We love you Kat, and we are all here for you as you recover.
