9/23 - Kat's dad's official update

Ok heard from Kat's dad.  Here is the update --- good stuff.  Please read below:

"Kate's now in 2C25.  Visiting hours are, I think, 9am to 10pm, with no other restrictions.  We had 8 people in here.  They say Kate's ready for rehab, and have only referred her to 3 facilities, Bryn Mawr Rehab (which is 4 miles east of 202 on Paoli Pike, so nearer West Chester than anything), Magee in Philly, and Moss in Elkin's Park.  That say Wilmington Hospital is not appropriate for Kate's specific condition).

So, I [Steve] visited Bryn Mawr today, and it looked ok to me, and we got several glowing recommendations, so, since it's more convenient than the other two, I think that's where she'll go, possibility as early as Tuesday.  As to her condition, pretty sleepy today, but still responsive to the nurses periodic tests.  Everyone's been resisting rousing her.  Think I might mix it up a little tomorrow.  Her only "connections" now are food and filtered air, no IVs, monitor, or oxygen. But she seems fine without them.  They say she's stable, just not the same stable we want.  On to rehab!."

Keep it up, Kat!  :):):)

Kat is a wonderful woman. She is a devoted mom to her 14 year old son, Tyler. She has a wide array of interests, including motorcycles, tattoos, reggae music, hanging out with friends on the beach, fishing, hiking, being goofy with her friends and family, and taking killer selfies.

This page is dedicated to Kat, as she recovers from her injuries, and is a place for her friends and family to receive information on her progress.

We love you Kat, and we are all here for you as you recover.
